Machines used in industry pose a considerable risk to people working at or near them. The U TECH FLEX personal protection system ensures safety by automatically triggering machine stops without any need for intervention by the person at risk, stopping the accident before it occurs.

U-TECH FLEX PSM
All employees wear the smart FLEX PSM on their wrist. If they enter the area defined as hazardous, the PSM informs the FLEX Control control unit.
U-TECH FLEX Control
The central control unit activates antennas for monitoring hazardous areas and analyses PSM signals in real time in both a smart and an encoded manner.
U-TECH FLEX Monitor
The ‘Monitor’ module continuously sends information about the status of all the monitored fields to U-TECH FLEX Control.
U-TECH FLEX Antenna LD/HD
Up to four different antennas can be connected to the system. They generate monitoring fields to protect hazardous areas at machines.
U-TECH FLEX Charge
The charging station for four FLEX PSM units is designed for both wall mounting and tabletop use. Thanks to magnetic positioning, each PSM is always optimally aligned to ensure a full charge before every shift.
U-TECH FLEX Check
Before each shift, employees use the FLEX Check module to verify the functionality and battery status of their FLEX PSM. The display clearly indicates which actions are required based on the test result.

One hazardous area
Would you like to protect employees at a single danger zone? In recycling facilities, the likes of conveyor belts transport material to baling presses and shredders. Underfloor conveyor belts that are filled by vehicles are often used.
U-TECH FLEX protects your employees from falling from the conveyor belt and into the press shaft or shredder.
FLEX PSM in the shutdown range: Employee is at risk, emergency stop is triggered.
The FLEX PSM module worn on the wrist continuously transmits the employee’s position to the FLEX Control unit. If the safety distance is breached, FLEX Control automatically activates the machine’s emergency stop.
Employees are working at a safe distance.
The required FLEX PSM transponder was properly tested at the FLEX Check station before starting work. During operations, a safe distance from the shutdown area is maintained at all times. Employees can move freely without restrictions.
Multiple areas
The person is in the attendance area. All machines are ready.
The attendance detection function continuously monitors whether employees equipped with functioning FLEX PSMs are within the vicinity of the machines. As soon as authorized individuals are detected, the machines can be started. When the last person leaves the area, all machines in the attendance area are automatically stopped.
FLEX PSM in one of the shutdown ranges: Employee is at risk, emergency stop of the machine(s) is triggered.
The FLEX PSM module worn on the wrist continuously transmits the employee’s position to the FLEX Control unit. Is the employee located in one of the two shutdown range, FLEX Control automatically activates the emergency stop of the affected machine(s).
At certain machines, such as rollers, employees feed material in at the front while another person removes material at the back.
U-TECH FLEX protects your employees from getting their hands caught in the likes of the roller gap.
360-degree areas
Your company has machines that can be accessed and operated from all sides, such as guillotines (bale cutters), wrapping machines or cutting machines. You don’t use any barriers to ensure smooth and swift work processes.
U-TECH FLEX stops your employees from being caught or clamped by the machine.

The attendance detection function continuously monitors whether employees with functioning FLEX PSMs are within the vicinity of the machine, which is accessible from all sides. As soon as authorized individuals are detected, the machine can be started. When the last person leaves the area, the machine in the presence zone is automatically stopped.

The FLEX PSM module worn on the wrist continuously transmits the employee’s position to the FLEX Control unit. If the safety distance around the machine is breached, FLEX Control automatically activates the machine’s emergency stop.
